Erica Roberts,MBA

EMPOWERMENT COACH, CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE AND EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT EXPERT, COMMUNITY ADVOCATE & LEADERSHIP TRAINER

Welcome! I am Erica Roberts, and I’m happy you’ve come to explore “possibilities.” I am passionate about helping people to overcome limitations and achieve their goals, and I am excited to help you unlock unlimited possibilities in your life!

My journey has been interesting.  I was a Federal government executive and spent 15 years in civil service. During the same period, held leadership positions in non-profit organizations, and served as President of a professional organization that provided professional development, educational development, and financial literacy education to over 1,100 members and the community. I found my career to be rewarding – especially the opportunity to develop employees and future leaders. Volunteer experience was similarly rewarding – especially developing systems and leaders to ensure continued organizational growth and success.

I am humbled by the opportunities I’ve had in my career and life, and fortunate to have had family, friends, and mentors who supported my goals. Since 2015, however, I have become increasingly aware of the role my own confidence played in my success. At the same time, I have noticed how many brilliant, high-potential individuals lack confidence. I felt increasingly saddened by the limitations – both self-imposed and environmental – that prevented some people from living their best lives. While visiting South Africa in 2016, I was reminded of the Ubuntu belief in “a universal bond of sharing that connects all humanity”. I decided to do more.

I returned from that trip ready to build! I launched a personal growth and development and consulting company, X Is Possible LLC. I also revisited my personal and professional goals and mapped out a career transition plan that aligned with MY values: giving to others, continuous learning, and ensuring integrity in all things. This new plan allowed me to reflect on my decades of experiences related to career advancement and change, educational success, and generational wealth building. It also positioned me to help others by sharing my approach to overcoming bullies in the workplace, changing careers to pursue life passion, balancing hobbies with work. Now as an executive and personal “possibilities” coach, I am focused on helping people of color overcome barriers to success and achieve happiness, and helping improve organizations to make a sustainable impact.
